This was our very first project, "Abstraction." The task was to interpret a piece of artwork and create a scene that mimicked it—a form of abstraction. I chose the artwork Flaming June (1895) by the British painter Frederic Leighton, as the colors and materials used caught my interest.

Process
I experimented with different colors for the walls and curtains to determine which option looked best. The dark red curtains provided a strong frame for the chair.
